Who is Onecrazyluna?
The big question, who is Onecrazyluna? Well I am a father of two children, a husband to an amazing woman, and a gamer. Gaming has been a huge part of my life since I can remember. One of my earliest memories were with my uncle playing Team Fortress, or “Team Forte” as we called it, and Counter-Strike 1.6. That was only the beginning of a glorious gaming future. From there I started playing consoles, and renting games at Blockbuster for the week. It wasn’t for some time that I would have a computer of my own, let alone a “gaming” PC. After joining the United States Navy I finally got my very own gaming laptop. This laptop went everywhere with me during my first four years of sea duty, I mean everywhere. Counter-Strike once again makes an appearance in my life, and I met another person that played on the ship. We ended up playing a few LAN matches against each other(no internet for personal computers out to sea) and well I realized I sucked. Fast forward to my next duty station is when I decided it was time for an upgrade. This is when I first purchased a “gaming” PC and the CS:GO grind began, it had dual 760 graphics cards and I believe a 4790k processor.
I have been playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for a decent while at this point, and while I was plastered and warming up for an ESEA match I joined a deathmatch server. Little did I know it would be the most significant deathmatch of my life. I met this girl in this deathmatch who would not stop talking shit to me even though I was completely destroying her. I stayed in this server for a few map changes with her and ultimately we ended up adding each other. We ended up playing with each other for the next few weeks, we both lost sleep and gained proficiency killing people in a video game. After a few weeks of playing nonstop or being on a Skype call for 48 hours I finally asked her to come hang out, and to my surprise she said yes. Four months later and the fact that CS:GO was such a huge part of our lives I decided to propose to her with a knife, and a gourmet dinner that consisted of dino-nuggets, and bagel bites (our gaming snack and what we lived off)
After separating from the Navy and moving down to southern California I started streaming and really becoming the Onecrazyluna you know today. While streaming I still played CS:GO and started to branch out to other games for my community to enjoy. We both ended up getting into World of Warcraft and started mythic raiding, this is where my old computer started taking a shit. The raid was called The Nighthold and specifically one boss was an issue for my computer. Yes you read that correct, Grand Magistrix Elisande actually broke my PC. During that fight the boss would phase and for some reason my PC would actually reset itself. I was still in the Navy at the time and decided it was time for an upgrade to which I actually built my first PC for myself ( I used to work at a PC repair shop so I have put together PCs before, kinda) This was awesome because truth be told my wife really helped me get through that build. I kept thinking every time I touched a component I thought it was going to short circuit. This bad boy was powered by a 7700k and the big bad 1080ti and was the real powerhouse of the day. That PC ran Spaceforce HQ, my stream community, for the next few years and I ended up selling it to my brother in law for his kid. That PC taught me some valuable lessons about PC building, that lesson is airflow is key to a quiet and cool PC.
Now that you have some backstory of who I am let me now tell you what we are moving towards. I have decided to focus my efforts at this blog and YouTube instead of streaming on Twitch for the foreseeable future. Here in this blog I want to share my experiences with the world, review games I am currently playing, try cool electronics out, and show you the world through the eyes of Onecrazyluna. I want to use my experiences as a Veteran, Dad, and Husband to give you, the reader, a look into life through my eyes. That being said I hope you enjoy what I have to offer and it keeps you intrigued. On my next post I will be going over my current setup, including PC components to which mouse I am using. If I get any questions that I feel might expand on who I am or what I am doing, I will try to update this post.
